Mead Lumber of Dodge City is hiring an Installation Associate to install and maintain building materials for customers, including doors, windows, flooring, and other products, while also supporting yard operations and order preparation.

The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction, with active participation in ESOP and ongoing development opportunities within a 100% employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience installing building materials is preferred but not required.
• Basic carpentry skills and knowledge of construction practices are a plus.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools and their safe operation.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsabilités

• Install building materials, including doors, windows, flooring, and other products, per company standards and safety procedures.
• Ensure accuracy, precision, and quality workmanship in installations.
• Safely operate hand and power tools to complete projects.
• Inspect installations, identify issues, and perform adjustments or repairs.
• Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at job sites and facilities.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation on time.
• Occasionally drive company vehicles to and from job sites.
• Assist with door shop operations and yard operations as needed.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
