Trinity Solar is seeking an Installation Crew Leader to oversee residential solar system installations in the Pittsburgh area. This hands-on role combines field installation with crew supervision, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.

You will guide your crew, coordinate with customers and internal teams, document installations, and uphold NEC and company safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of solar installation, electrical, or related construction experience.
• Must have a clean MVR and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Able to climb ladders and work at heights; outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the installation of residential solar modules, racking, and equipment in accordance with NEC codes, company standards, and safety best practices.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, direction, and technical expertise to the installation crew.
• Ensure thorough documentation of each installation, including photos, array and equipment diagrams, and existing site features.
• Submit required installation documentation and materials in a timely manner.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, inspectors, and internal teams throughout the project.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly jobsite that reflects company professionalism.
• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles in accordance with all policies and procedures.
• Support additional installation responsibilities and duties as assigned.

You’ll combine hands‑on installation work with crew leadership, ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Compensation: $30 - $35 / hour

Duties/Responsibilities:

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, inspectors, team members, and internal stakeholders.

• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and reliable attendance.

• Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• 1–2 years of solar installation, electrical, or related construction experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors and at heights for extended periods.

• Must be able to climb ladders and work in varying outdoor conditions.

• Must be able to kneel, crouch, and lift or move 40–50 pounds regularly.

• Must be able to perform physically demanding installation tasks throughout the workday.
