Job summary

Trinity Solar is seeking a Solar Installer to hands-on install PV systems at residential sites, ensuring safe, high-quality workmanship and adherence to design specifications. You will work with a team to complete installations efficiently while maintaining thorough documentation and safety standards.

The role is field-based, outdoors, and requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and travel to job sites. A HS diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops and structures per design schematics, codes, and safety standards.
• Ensure proper system layout, orientation, and alignment for efficiency and compliance.
• Assess job site conditions for safety hazards and structural integrity before and during installation.
• Collaborate with team members and site supervisors to resolve installation challenges.
• Maintain installation documentation with photos, layouts, and required details.
• Complete and submit required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe throughout installation.
• Support additional installation duties as assigned.

Compensation:$19 - $24 / hour

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops and other structures in accordance with design schematics, local building codes, and safety standards.
• Ensure proper system layout, orientation, and alignment for maximum efficiency and compliance.
• Assess job site conditions for safety hazards and structural integrity before and during installation.
• Work closely with team members and site supervisors to resolve installation challenges and maintain quality standards.
• Maintain accurate installation documentation, including photos, site layouts, and other required details.
• Complete and submit required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe throughout the installation process.
• Support additional installation responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely use power tools, hand tools, and basic electrical testing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, quality, and high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work at heights for extended periods, including climbing ladders, working on rooftops, and navigating uneven surfaces.
• Dependable work ethic with strong punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, kneeling, standing, and lifting for extended periods.
• Must have access to reliable transportation to travel to job sites or the company office as required.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience in electrical work, roofing, solar installation, or a related field preferred, but not required.
