Job summary

Trinity Solar is seeking an Installation Crew Leader to oversee our residential solar installations. This hands-on role combines fieldwork with crew leadership to deliver safe, high-quality systems on time and on budget.

You will guide installers, provide technical support, document work, and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams while upholding company standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years solar installation, electrical, or related construction experience.
• Clean MVR and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

Trinity Solar, one of the nation’s leading residential solar companies, is looking for an Installation Crew Leader to oversee the installation of residential solar systems. You’ll combine hands‑on installation work with crew leadership, ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a hands‑on, field‑based role that puts you at the center of daily installation operations. You’ll guide your crew, provide technical support, communicate with customers and internal teams, and help resolve on‑site challenges while ensuring each project meets company standards and safety requirements.

Compensation

$30 - $35 / hour

Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the installation of residential solar modules, racking, and equipment in accordance with NEC codes, company standards, and safety best practices.
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance, direction, and technical expertise to the installation crew.
• Ensure thorough documentation of each installation, including photos, array and equipment diagrams, and existing site features.
• Submit required installation documentation and materials in a timely manner.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, inspectors, and internal teams throughout the project.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly jobsite that reflects company professionalism.
• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles in accordance with all policies and procedures.
• Support additional installation responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong mechanical aptitude with comfort using tools, climbing ladders, and working at heights for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead by example, motivate team members, and maintain a positive, productive work environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, inspectors, team members, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and reliable attendance.
• Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of solar installation, electrical, or related construction experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors and at heights for extended periods.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work in varying outdoor conditions.
• Must be able to kneel, crouch, and lift or move 40–50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding installation tasks throughout the workday.
