Trinity Solar, one of the nation’s leading residential solar companies, is seeking an Installation Crew Leader to oversee residential solar installations and lead a field team in Mechanicsburg, PA. This hands-on role blends on-site installation with crew leadership to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to guide a crew while communicating with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of solar installation, electrical, or related construction experience.
• Must have a clean MVR and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the installation of residential solar modules, racking, and equipment in accordance with NEC codes, company standards, and safety best practices.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, direction, and technical expertise to the installation crew.
• Ensure thorough documentation of each installation, including photos, array and equipment diagrams, and existing site features.
• Submit required installation documentation and materials in a timely manner.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, inspectors, and internal teams throughout the project.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly jobsite that reflects company professionalism.
• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles in accordance with all policies and procedures.
• Support additional installation responsibilities and duties as assigned.

You’ll combine hands-on installation work with crew leadership, ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a hands-on, field-based role that puts you at the center of daily installation operations. You’ll guide your crew, provide technical support, communicate with customers and internal teams, and help resolve on-site challenges while ensuring each project meets company standards and safety requirements.

Compensation: $30 - $35 / hour

Duties/Responsibilities:

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong mechanical aptitude with comfort using tools, climbing ladders, and working at heights for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead by example, motivate team members, and maintain a positive, productive work environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, inspectors, team members, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and reliable attendance.
• Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required .
• 1–2 years of solar installation, electrical, or related construction experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors and at heights for extended periods.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work in varying outdoor conditions.
• Must be able to kneel, crouch, and lift or move 40–50 pounds regular­ly.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding installation tasks throughout the workday.
