Job summary

UNITED MACHINING NORTH AMERICA LLC in Lincolnshire, IL seeks a Field Installation Coordinator to manage machine installations, prep site checklists, order parts, and handle delays. You will coordinate with Sales and Distributors, set installation priorities, and ensure smooth on-site execution.

With 2–4 years of related experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office, you will support customer installations, promote service packages, and follow up on completed work.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and 2–4 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Product knowledge as it applies to machine and equipment installations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word); Great Plains or similar software helpful.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate machine installation with customers; send site prep checklist; receive checklist; order parts; communicate delays and rescheduling.
• Coordinate delivery and installation with Sales Department and Distributors; define installation priorities.
• Review schedules with Customer Support Center to coordinate field service personnel for installation or de-installation of machines.
• Facilitate efficient installation or de-installation at customer site for routine service and preventive maintenance calls.
• Promote Success Package with customers during installation setup.
• Contact customers to follow up on machine installations.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by EDM Manager, Order Processing Supervisor, EDM Supervisors, Technical Support, and Regional Head of Customer Services – North & Central America.

Job description

Your tasks

• Coordinate the machine installation with the customer; send the site preparation checklist to the customer; receive checklist; order parts for installation; communicate any delays with installation including any rescheduling needed. Confers with customers via email and phone to determine the progress of the work provided.


• Coordinate the delivery and installation of machines with the Sales Department and Distributors. Define the priority of the installation while utilizing the most cost-effective methods and resources.


• Together with the Customer Support Center team review schedules and coordinate scheduling of field service personnel, as follows:


• To facilitate the efficient installation or de-installation of machines and equipment at the customer site.


• For routine service calls and preventative maintenance calls at the customer site.


• Promote Success Package with Customers during installation set up.


• Contact customers to follow up on machine installations.


• Perform additional tasks as may be requested by the EDM Manager, Order Processing Supervisor, EDM Supervisors, Technical Support personnel, and the Regional Head of Customer Services – North & Central America.

Your profile

• Associate's degree and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Product knowledge as it applies to the machine and equipment installations.


• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Systems, including Excel and Microsoft Word. Knowledge of Great Plains or similar software program helpful.
