ECM (East Coast Mechanical) in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking an HVAC Install Helper to support our technicians on residential and light commercial projects. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and a clear path toward becoming a skilled HVAC technician or installer.

You will assist with installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance, help prepare job sites, load tools, assist with ductwork, and support testing and startup of systems while maintaining safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the HVAC trade.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, outdoors.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Physical fitness and manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Completion of a relevant apprenticeship (Desired)
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and their inner workings.
• Familiarity with all tools and equipment necessary for HVAC installation and maintenance.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands:

• Climbing up and down on ladders and equipment
• Heavy lifting required (50-75) pounds, ladder work and tight space work required from time to time.
• Ability to pick-up a minimum of 25 pounds consistently and carry up to 250 feet unassisted.
• Operate handheld power tools.
• Wear personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day, as needed.
• Employees may be exposed to noise, dust, and fumes, and they may work in cramped, awkward positions. They may work outdoors in all weather conditions and may be required to climb ladders or work on a roof.
