Job summary

HeyGen is seeking a Creator in Residence to own Instagram short-form content, on-camera presence, and the overall direction of our Instagram series. You will lead formats, styles, and the editorial calendar while acting as a recurring face for HeyGen and directing both human and avatar talent.

You will ship weekly formats, review analytics, and defend your taste as the primary creative decision-maker, partnering with brand, product marketing, and the avatar team to drive growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years creating short-form content for social platforms
• Portfolio with real reach on Instagram/TikTok/YouTube
• Audience of 50k+ on at least one platform or similar brand account
• Strong sense of consumer instincts and taste you can defend in one sentence
• Comfortable being the decider and leading a team or crew

Responsibilities

• Own Instagram short-form end-to-end (DRI for reels) and set editorial calendar, formats, and bar.
• Dissect weekly what’s trending on Instagram and translate into runnable formats.
• Be on camera as a recurring face of HeyGen and direct talent (founders, teammates, avatars).
• Write and direct for avatars to read as characters, not demos.
• Ship a new format every week, analyze performance, keep what hits and cut what doesn’t.
• Make the final creative call and own the result when there is disagreement.
• Report on performance: reach, shares, saves, and follower growth.
