Job summary

YMCA of the East Bay seeks friendly, enthusiastic staff to create a safe, positive environment that promotes age-appropriate play and wellness. You will lead high-quality sports and recreational programs for youth in a supportive setting.

Responsibilities include planning activities, teaching safe techniques, maintaining participant records, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure programs run smoothly. Part-time weekday evenings and Saturdays; YMCA membership is included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of youth development or related experience.
• Experience leading group classes.
• Ability to teach sports like basketball and soccer.
• CPR/AED and First Aid training within 30 days of employment.
• Background check and child abuse prevention training as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead safe, motivating recreational activities for youth.
• Demonstrate proper techniques and provide feedback.
• Maintain conduct standards and positive behavior.
• Build relationships with participants and parents.
• Assist with events and perform other duties as required.
