Job summary

Nexplore in Vallejo, CA is seeking a part-time STEAM After School Instructor to deliver hands-on STEM, Digital Tech, and other programs to PreK-12 students. You will follow prepared lesson plans, use provided materials, and report to a Program Success Manager.

Qualifications

• Part-time position

• 2+ years teaching/instructing (preferred)
• Experience working with children
• Educational experience
• Teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS!
• Must commit to the full proposed schedule
• Great communication and presentation skills
• Reliable transportation
• Willing to complete mandatory training

Responsibilities

• Follow a provided schedule, arrive on time and prepared to teach.
• Deliver consistent, standards-aligned instruction that fosters critical thinking.
• Engage in professional, responsive communication with the Program Success Manager and site staff.
• Deliver inspiring instruction from Nexplore’s programs and adapt as needed.
• Participate in family engagement efforts and help each child access the programs.
