Specialized Education Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher in Tucson, AZ. You will work with diverse learners, applying SESI’s instructional models and PBIS framework to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.

Responsibilities include creating individualized lesson plans, managing behavior and safety, maintaining IEP/BIP documents, and tracking progress. A Bachelor’s degree and teaching credential are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Valid teaching credential appropriate to the role, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Use SESI's instructional models to teach knowledge and skills and meet student needs.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation, crisis management, and physical restraint when necessary to maintain safety.
• Maintain student documents such as IEPs, BIPs, incident reports, and high-risk evaluation forms.
• Drive, record, and track student growth toward goals and progress.
• Supervise and monitor students within the school.
