Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Certified by the State of Alabama in the appropriate area.
• Must meet highly qualified status as determined by Alabama State Department of Education.
• Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and State Board of Education regulations.

Responsibilities

• Understand and assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and Board of Education policies.
• Participate in the efficient and effective operation of the school and school system.
• Accept no other employment which interferes with the discharge of teacher duties and responsibilities.
• To follow the courses of study approved by the State Board of Education and curriculum guides adopted by the Dothan City Board of Education.
• Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning within available resources.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law and policy.
• Evaluate student progress and take appropriate actions for improvement.
• Promote good public relations for school and system.
