Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Understand and uphold school rules, regulations, and policies.
• Participate in school and system operations, including meetings and committees.
• Abide by the Code of Ethics for teachers.
• Follow curriculum and adopted textbooks and guides.
• Foster citizenship, self-discipline, morality, and patriotism in students.
• Meet and instruct assigned classes at designated times.
• Develop a classroom environment conducive to learning with available resources.
• Maintain discipline in the classroom and school environment.
• Prepare for classes and show evidence of preparation on request.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and policy.
• Evaluate student progress and follow established procedures.
• Seek specialist assistance and make referrals when appropriate.
• Protect students and school property.
• Be available for conferences outside instructional day.
• Collaborate with staff on activities, goals, and methods.
• Assist in selecting books and instructional materials.
• Participate in extracurricular activities.
• Attend faculty meetings.
• Maintain professional relations with parents and community.
• Promote positive public relations for the school.
• Maintain and improve professional competence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
• Assume other reasonable duties as assigned by the Director.
