Job summary

Broken Arrow Public Schools seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat students with speech and language disorders. You will develop IEPs, lead therapy sessions and monitor progress within the regular education setting.

Responsibilities include collaboration with teachers, staff, and families; providing training on strategies and assistive technology; ensuring compliance with ASHA, state and district requirements; and engaging in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Current Oklahoma teacher certification and CCC-SLP per ASHA.
• Oklahoma licensure or temporary license for entry level SLP.
• 3 years of SLP experience preferred.
• Computer literate with strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language skills and determine eligibility.
• Participate in IEP meetings and help set communication-related goals with proper documentation.
• Design and implement therapy interventions; provide direct services and monitor progress towards goals.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff; support home strategies and provide assistive-technology resources.
• Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and district policies; perform site duties as needed.
• Additional responsibilities aligned with school schedule and community activities.
