Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Teacher for the South Side location (New Sullivan Elem). You will be responsible for planning instruction, delivering lessons, assessing pupil progress, and maintaining records while promoting a safe and conducive learning environment.

The role requires a valid Illinois teaching certificate (PEL or ELS) and the ability to engage with families and the community to support student success.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of student teaching requirements and coursework to obtain the Illinois teaching certificate.
• Knowledge of subject matter and effective classroom management techniques.
• Ability to modify instruction to meet diverse student needs and to communicate with parents.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
