Job summary

The teacher will align with state cert requirements, communicate with families, participate in professional meetings, and may coordinate field trips and after-school activities while fostering a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold appropriate teaching certificate issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
• Knowledge of subject matter and state certification requirements.
• Ability to modify instruction to meet student needs; work with families and staff.
• Strong oral and written communication and professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional planning and written lesson plans aligned to objectives.
• Track pupil progress, maintain attendance and seating charts, and document records.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about progress, attendance and conduct.
• Participate in in-service meetings and may coordinate field trips and after-school activities.
