You will implement differentiated, data-driven instruction in a supportive, collaborative environment across our Far Rockaway campuses. A strong foundation in math and a commitment to student development are essential.

• NY State Teaching Certification is required.
• Strong understanding of middle school mathematics and real-world applications.
• Experience with middle school students and a track record of achievement.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for progress of all students and differentiate instruction as needed.
• Create rigorous, culturally relevant lesson plans and assessments; differentiate as required.
• Deliver engaging, rigorous daily lessons and assess student mastery.
• Communicate effectively with scholars, families, and staff.
• Implement school-wide systems and reflect on biases to support equity.
• Review data to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to build schoolwide systems, routines, and procedures.
• Manage classroom time with sound practices and build trusting relationships.
• Develop and manage behavioral plans to meet academic and non-academic goals.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to learning communities.
• Fulfill administrative duties and maintain proactive communication with the team.
