Job summary

East Harlem Scholars Academies is seeking a High School Math Teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction and collaborate with the grade team and instructional leadership to enhance curriculum. You will track student progress, manage IEPs, and foster a positive classroom culture that supports student growth.

You should have at least three years of math teaching experience, a NYS teaching certification, and ideally Spanish fluency to engage diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience teaching Math (Algebra II preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher and NYS teaching certification for the subject.
• Ability to speak, write, and understand Spanish fluently (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with grade team and instructional leadership to internalize or develop curriculum.
• Provide high‑quality instruction and monitor student progress.
• Manage IEPs and contribute to a positive classroom culture.
• Engage in reflection and continuous improvement with the team.
