The teacher will deliver instruction aligned to district curricula, maintain a productive classroom, assess student progress, and communicate with parents. The 10-month term offers a per diem rate of $220.00, plus $25 per day after Day 20.

Qualifications

• Holds or is eligible for a New Jersey Instructional Certificate with appropriate endorsement.
• Endorsements in Elementary K-5 with Math/Language Arts Literacy/Science/Social Studies, or Teacher of Mathematics/Language Arts Literacy/Science/Social Studies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in subject field(s) assigned and deemed highly qualified per standards established by NJDOE.
• Provides activities and experiences to meet the needs, interests and abilities of students.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
• Employs instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives.
• Assesses the academic and behavioral status of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required.
