Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a middle school teacher to plan, design, implement, and assess instructional programs for diverse learners. The role involves monitoring progress, communicating with parents, and preparing students for assessments.

You will work with administrators to align instruction with LCPS standards and manage learning in and out of the classroom. The position requires a VA middle school license, a bachelor’s degree, and strong collaboration and communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• Holds or eligible for a Virginia teaching license in middle school with an endorsement in appropriate subject area.
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject content, curriculum, methodology of effective teaching.
• Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs.

Responsibilities

• Establishes a safe and supportive environment that enables each student to demonstrate agency and reflection.
• Designs authentic and engaging learning experiences aligned to the Virginia Standards of Learning.
• Assesses student growth and communicates progress to parents/guardians.
• Collaborates with colleagues to plan instruction and assessments and supports student mastery.
