Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a Part-Time Mathematics Teacher at Willard Middle School in Aldie, Virginia. The role involves planning, delivering, and assessing middle school math lessons for grades 6–8, keeping students engaged and meeting LCPS standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Holds or eligible for a Virginia teaching license in middle school with an endorsement in appropriate subject area.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of subject content and effective teaching methods.
  • Ability to apply current research to instructional programs.
  • Skilled in multimedia and computer technology to enhance learning.
  • Ability to establish collaborative relationships with students, peers and parents.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes a safe, supportive learning environment and fosters student ownership.
  • Designs engaging lessons aligned to Virginia Standards of Learning and LCPS curriculum.
  • Plans instruction using diverse resources and technology to develop critical thinking.
  • Personalizes instruction to meet diverse student needs and monitors progress.
  • Communicates progress to parents and collaborates with school staff to support students.
