Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools Sterling Middle School in Sterling, Virginia is seeking a qualified Mathematics Teacher to plan, design, implement and assess a rigorous instructional program for middle school students.

The teacher will use Virginia Standards of Learning, LCPS curricula, diverse materials and technology to engage sixth through eighth graders, monitor progress and communicate with families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Virginia teaching license in middle school with endorsement
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject content, curriculum, methodology of effective teaching
• Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs
• Skilled in the use of multi-media and computer technology to enhance learning
• Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with students, peers, administrators, and parents
• Demonstrated skill in oral and written communications; excellent human relations skills
