Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior supervision/athletics experience preferred.
• Excellent communication in diverse environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise middle school assistant coaches.
• Supervise student athletes.
• Stay current with rules, coaching techniques, schemes, and best practices.
• Monitor student-athletes to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Place student-athletes in positions to succeed in sport and life.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with staff, officials, and parents.
• Ensure safety measures are observed and facilities are secure.
• Attend all trainings and staff meetings.
• Work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays.
• Verify student-athletes are eligible by policies.
• Plan and manage practices/training sessions.
• Secure equipment and facilities after use.
• Communicate with district administration and youth groups to foster participation growth.
• Be a positive role model for student-athletes.
• Distribute, collect, and track uniforms/equipment.
• Requisition necessary equipment.
• Support all district athletics programs.
