Responsibilities

• Assists with organizing team prospects meetings and encourages participation.
• Assists with assessment of players' skills and assigning team positions.
• Helps develop regular practice schedules and organize practice time for individual and team development.
• Coaches and instructs players on rules, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
• Observes players during competition and practice and reports needs for improvement to Head Coach.
• Assists with determining game strategy based on team capabilities.
• Establishes and maintains standards of student athlete behavior.
• Monitors academic performance to ensure eligibility and encourages strong grades.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and uniforms; handles proper care and requisitioning.
• Participation in parent nights, banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies.
