Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a high school coach to lead its athletic program, develop competitive game strategies, and motivate student athletes to excel on the field.

You will organize practices, schedule games with the athletic director, monitor academics for eligibility, and ensure proper safety and equipment management. Certification requirements include DPS FPCC clearance and NFHS coaching certificates; prior coaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior coaching experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid DPS FPCC and NFHS coaching certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Holds team meetings and encourages participation.
• Assesses players' skills and assigns positions.
• Develops regular practice schedules for individual and team development.
• Coaches players on rules, techniques, and game strategy.
• Monitors academic performance to ensure eligibility.
• Works with athletic director to schedule facilities and games.
