Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking a dedicated educator to plan and deliver engaging classroom experiences that foster intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development. You will supervise students, monitor outcomes, and collaborate with families and community partners to ensure student success.

The role requires a NC Professional Educator’s License in a teaching area and a Bachelor’s degree in Education; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education with appropriate subject area.
• Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in a teaching content area.
• Master’s degree in a specific subject area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes assessment strategies aligned with WCPSS curriculum and standards to support learner development.
• Ensures effective communication with students, parents, and stakeholders.
• Engages in ongoing professional quality improvement for self, school, and district.
• Uses instructional strategies that promote critical and creative thinking.
• Implements classroom strategies reflecting student culture, learning styles, and needs.
• Maintains a positive learning environment and manages student behavior effectively.
• Plans, aligns, implements, and evaluates instruction and assessment in varied learning environments.
• Collaborates with peers, parents, community and stakeholders for continuous improvement of education.
• Integrates technology into teaching and learning processes.
• Ensures adherence to safety procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
