Job summary

The successful candidate will hold a NC Professional Educator’s License in a teaching content area, preferably with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s in a subject area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education with an appropriate subject area.
• Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in a teaching content area.
• Master’s degree in a specific subject area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes assessment strategies aligned with the WCPSS curriculum and standards to support learner development.
• Ensures effective communication with students, parents, and stakeholders.
• Engages in planned continuous professional quality improvement for self, school, and district.
• Uses appropriate techniques and strategies to promote critical and creative thinking.
• Implements instructional strategies reflecting diverse cultures, learning styles, and needs.
• Maintains a positive learning environment and regulates classroom behavior.
• Collaborates with peers, parents, community, and other stakeholders to improve classroom experiences.
• Integrates technology in teaching and learning processes.
