Qualifications

• Experience in baking, pastry arts, or a related culinary field.
• Prior teaching or instructional experience, preferably in a K-12 or culinary education setting.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food science fundamentals.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for a wide range of age groups and skill levels.
• Food Handler's Certification or ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for mentoring young students and inspiring a lifelong love of cooking and baking.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging baking and pastry arts lessons tailored to PreK through High School students.
• Teach foundational and advanced baking techniques including bread making, cake decorating, and pastry preparation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑organized culinary classroom and kitchen environment.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through hands‑on baking projects and demonstrations.
• Develop age‑appropriate curriculum aligned with culinary arts education standards.
• Introduce students to food safety, sanitation, and proper kitchen equipment usage.
• Foster creativity, teamwork, and a love of culinary arts in students of all ages.
