Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid teaching certification or license in Spanish for middle school education.
• Strong proficiency in the Spanish language, both written and spoken.
• Previous teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligning with state and national standards for language learning.
• Teach Spanish language skills—reading, writing, speaking, and listening—to students of varying proficiency.
• Create a positive classroom atmosphere encouraging student participation and collaboration.
• Assess and evaluate student progress with feedback to support learning goals.
• Incorporate cultural elements to enhance understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures.
• Utilize technology and educational resources to enhance instruction.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary language initiatives across the curriculum.
• Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in language instruction.
