Job summary

Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School is seeking a Grammar School Science Teacher as a leave replacement, starting immediately through late January with potential extension to end of year. You will teach science within the Science Department and STEM Committee, align with CGPS standards, and collaborate with colleagues.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred) and at least two years’ teaching experience, with strong communication to families and a commitment to CGPS values.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of two years teaching experience.
Responsive Classroom Training is a plus, willingness to take the course is necessary.

Responsibilities

Create, prepare and teach lessons in the designated subject areas in accordance with the curriculum.
Teach curricula and activities to meet academic standards.
Assist with developing, reviewing, and updating curriculum with the Grammar School team and Director.
Design and administer assessments that measure progress towards academic standards.
