• Bachelor's Degree with appropriate license; or Master's Degree with high school content license preferred within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in designated locations and times.
• Plans a program of study that meets individual student needs and abilities.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity.
• Communicates clear objectives to students for all lessons, units and projects.
• Assesses student progress and provides reports as required; communicates with parents as needed.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and district policy.
• Diagnoses learning challenges and seeks district specialist assistance when needed.
• Plans and supervises paraprofessional assignments and writes evaluations as required.
