Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with district curriculum; include accommodations for student differences.
• Plan and use instructional strategies, activities, materials, and technology per TEA guidelines.
• Assess student learning styles and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Work with staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods per district requirements.
• Plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers; oversee completion.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement; support extracurricular activities as assigned.
• Be a positive role model and support the school district’s mission.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and manage student behavior.
• Protect students and resources; select books and materials as needed.
• Maintain reports and documents required by the district.
• Establish professional relationships with parents, students, colleagues, and community.
• Participate in staff development and comply with policies; attend meetings and committees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
