Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or training for the subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area and ability to instruct students effectively.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and behavior management ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum and accommodations for diverse learners.
• Plan instructional strategies and use resources to meet varied student needs as per TEA guidelines.
• Assess student learning styles and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Collaborate with staff to set instructional goals and supervise aides/volunteers.
• Supervise extracurricular activities as assigned and model a positive role for students.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and manage student behavior per Code of Conduct.
