Job Description

• Coordinates workflow for all modalities, continuously reviewing patient wait times, satisfaction, and staff communication.
• Assures accuracy of scheduled appointments and monitors proper outpatient preparation.
• Consults with Director/Manager, Lead RN, Radiologist, and Modality Leaders regarding schedule conflicts, concerns, or requests outside of established policy.
• Flags special needs and seeks input from Modality Leaders regarding scheduling constraints and equipment preferences.
• Communicates with designated departments for add-on cases and prepares reservations within established timeframes.
• Provides front-desk support to minimize wait times and resolve customer service issues.
• Performs records release of Radiology films and reports to patients or other medical facilities, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Works with AGFA, EMR, PowerScribe, Cypress, and PowerShare to resolve issues. Monitors PACS worklist to facilitate physician-to-physician calls.
• Tracks department statistics to monitor accountability goals for each modality.
• Escalates unresolved challenges to next-level leadership and ensures prompt resolution.
• Presents written and verbal directions to employees to ensure they are informed about performance and job requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
