Opportunity

This position is for 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm). The Inspector will perform first piece, tool proof, receiving and final inspection.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections for first article and production readiness
• Manufacture and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications
• Maintain accurate and reliable documentation
• Perform inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are manufactured in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications
• Visually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfaces
• Experience with executing programs on CMM equipment
• Ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the Cell
• Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained.
• Adhere to all safety standards and regulations
• Strive to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of machined parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years’ experience
• Experience with CMM systems and have familiarity with open DMIS language preferred
• Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading is required
• Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches)
• U.S. Citizenship status required. Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
