Job summary

Leader Ambulance, part of a larger Terex Corporation family, is seeking a quality control/inspection associate to ensure each ambulance meets safety and cosmetic standards before delivery. You will inspect vehicles, document repairs, and support production with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include following written directions, performing water testing, and ensuring proper options verification and cosmetic sign-off on orders.

Qualifications

  • 0-1 year QC experience preferred
  • Experience with hand tools advantageous
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Assembly experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inspect ambulances and report repairs before delivery
  • Follow directions and maintain production schedules
  • Perform water testing and fix leaks as needed
  • Conduct cosmetic sign-off and verify options on orders
  • Use basic measuring devices and ensure quality within time standards
  • Adhere to Lean Manufacturing and 5-S practices
  • Notify supervisor of maintenance issues and assist on the production floor
  • Maintain safety and proper PPE usage on site

Job Summary

Ensure that customers, both internal and external, receive the quality Ambulance that they expect by inspecting the vehicle and reporting any necessary repairs/corrections before delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and carry out oral and written directions
  • Close attention to detail
  • Function with a minimal amount of supervision
  • Set work priorities to meet production goals
  • Knowledge of basic 12-volt electricity
  • Must be able to drive and road test the vehicle
  • Responsible for water testing, fixing leaks, and weighing the ambulance
  • Responsible for final cosmetic sign-off of emergency vehicles
  • Responsible for inspection and function testing of all vehicles received
  • Responsible for verifying options for orders
  • Responsible for completing a cosmetic tag
  • Follow departmental work instructions
  • Able to complete detailing duties as assigned by the Department
  • Notify supervisor/lead if encountering maintenance issues
  • Meet standards of safety and 5-S requirements
  • Promote the use and applications of Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement tools as part of the culture.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Requirements (experience, Travel, Physical, Work Environment)
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
  • Ability to utilize linear and other types of measuring devices effectively
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards
  • Ability to recognize the quality expected and be able to reproduce it
  • Must possess good mechanical ability and component operation function
  • Use functional gauging assigned for inspection of vehicles
Education And Experience
  • Preferred 0-1 year experience in a QC setting or equivalent experience
  • Experience with hand tools
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Assembly experience preferred

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibration. Is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals
