Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc is seeking a QA Inspector for the 2nd shift at the Mount Holly Springs facility. In this role you will perform regular quality assessments of materials and assemblies, verify procedures, and document inspection results. You will interact with customers and coworkers to resolve issues and ensure conformant products.

A High School Diploma or GED is required. The position offers a 3:30 PM–12:00 AM schedule with a 10% shift differential, comprehensive benefits, and

  • Previous QA experience a plus but not required (preferred).
  • Previous assembly experience a plus but not required (preferred).
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs regular quality assessments of raw materials, in process or finished assemblies and sub-assemblies for conformance to quality standards
  • Verify conformance to applicable procedures and other approved documents
  • Provide acceptance or rejection for compliance to established standards and processes
  • Document's inspection results by completing logs, summarizes re-work and scrap, and inputs data into quality database
  • Read internal documentation, assembly drawings, customer specifications, military, and industry standards to understand the requirements of products and services
  • Interact effectively and professionally with all customers and coworkers
  • Review quality concerns and production team to improve product quality
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures
  • Willing to be trained more on the following areas: inspection techniques, quality methodologies, and use of inspection apparatus and testing equipment
  • Performing other duties as assigned
