Job summary

FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform inspections to meet customer specifications and coordinate with multiple departments to achieve production goals.

The role uses micrometers and quality instruments to ensure product consistency, operates systems to retrieve work orders and inventory, and prepares packaging as per orders while recording in-process inspections for traceability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; equivalent work experience considered.
• 1+ years of experience in a quality manufacturing environment.
• Experience with quality management tracking software.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection to ensure product meets customer specifications.
• Utilize micrometers and QC instruments to maintain product performance.
• Operate computer to obtain work orders, schedules, and inventory.
• Make product-specific shipping boxes per work orders.
• Record all in-process inspection/testing for traceability.
• Communicate quality issues with departments such as quality, shipping, and value added.
• Perform cycle counting and nonconforming material handling.
• Other duties as assigned.

This role is responsible for performing inspections to meet customer specifications, communicating with various departments and participating in team activities to meet production goals. This role will communicate production issues and take direction from the department supervisor on a daily basis.

Essential Functions:

• Perform final inspectionto ensure product meets customer specifications.
• Utilize micrometers and various other measuring and quality control instruments to maintain consistent product performance.
• Operate computer to obtain work orders/schedule and inventory existing supplies
• Make product specific shipping boxes as per specifications on work order.
• Perform and record all in-process inspection/testing relating to maintaining product traceability and run documentation.
• Communicate with various departments such as quality, shipping, and value added relative to product quality issues and availability of material for further processing or shipping.
• Perform cycle counting andnonconforming material process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of education
• 1+ years of experience in a quality manufacturing environment
