Job summary

Qualifications

• Operate inspection measurement tooling.
• Perform in-process and/or final inspection including mechanical, electrical, performance, leak testing and appearance of diverse components.
• Ensure non-conformities are properly explained and corrective actions understood.
• Complete inspection records and tags for traceability.
• Determine conformance to drawings, purchase orders, engineering specs and test procedures.
• Complete rejected material reports and inspection tags.
• Perform necessary material handling associated with the job.
• Operate and calibrate test equipment as required.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and equipment per 5S standards.
• Maintain records of time, quality, quantity and other metrics.
• Possess willingness to join team-driven Kaizen and 5S activities and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate inspection measurement tooling and verify dimensions.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections of mechanical and electrical assemblies.
• Test components for leakage, performance, and appearance per specs.
• Document non-conformities and educate relevant staff on corrective actions.
• Record inspection data accurately and maintain traceable records.
• Assess conformance to drawings, PO, and engineering docs.
• Process rejected materials and generate necessary disposition notes.
• Handle materials required for inspection work and move items safely.
• Calibrate and operate test equipment as required.
• Keep work area clean, safe, and compliant with 5S standards.
• Participate in Kaizen, 5S, and problem-solving team activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Operate inspection measurement tooling.

2. Perform in-process and/or final inspection including mechanical, electrical, performance, leak testing and appearance of the following categories; A. Component machining, forming or welding B. Compressors, air units, vessels, valves C. Electrical assemblies and components D. Any complex mechanical and electrical assembly of discrete smaller assemblies and components

3. Ensures that individuals responsible for non-conformities are constructively educated as to the nature of the non-conformity and the correction required for acceptance.

4. Responsibility for completion of appropriate inspection records.

5. Determine conformance or non-conformance to drawing, purchase order. Engineering specs, test procedures, etc. as applicable.

6. Completion of rejected material reports and inspection tags.

7. Perform necessary material handling associated with the job.

8. Operate and calibrate test equipment as required.

9. Maintain clean, safe work area and equipment according to 5S standards.

10. Maintain necessary time, quality, quantity and other records.

11. May be called upon to participate within special work teams performing various team related duties. Including Kaizen events, 5S programs and problem solving exercises.

12. Follow all safety policies, procedures and JHRA’s.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $30.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
