Job summary

STV is seeking a Construction Inspector for our Transportation Northeast department in Hartford, CT to monitor highway, bridge, facilities, and rail projects and ensure compliance with contract documents and regulatory requirements.

The role requires reviewing RFIs and submittals, documenting quantities, and producing daily reports with photos, while coordinating with contractors, engineers, and agency representatives to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• NICET Level 1 certification with 4+ years of experience in construction engineering and inspection.
• Experience on transportation infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of CTDOT CEI processes, contract administration, and construction documentation.
• Knowledge of construction materials and methods.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred a degree in Civil Engineering
• Working knowledge of COMPASS and AASHTOWare Project
• NETTCP - Concrete Inspector, ACI - Concrete Certification, NETTCP - HMA Paving Inspector, NACE, AMP, or BCI - Coating Inspector, and ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certifications.

Compensation Range

$84,466.00 - $95,984.00
