Job summary

Clean Harbors in San Francisco, CA is looking for Chemical Handlers (Insite Technicians) to join our safety-conscious team.

In this entry-level role, you will perform waste pickups, bulking and labeling, spill response, forklift operations, and waste sampling; training is provided; competitive wage $26.00-$28.00 hourly DOE and comprehensive benefits after 30 days of full-time employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to complete a background check, drug test, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Making waste pickups at a customer’s facility.
• Bulking and consolidating chemicals.
• Packaging and labeling waste products for efficiency and compliance.
• Participating in spill response on customer sites as needed.
• Operating forklifts.
• Inspecting drums for container integrity and compliance.
• Loading/unloading waste hauling vehicles safely.
• Completing waste stream sampling and profiling.

InSiteTechnicians perform a wide range of tasks, including:

• Making waste pickups throughout a customer’s facility;

• Conducting chemical bulking and consolidation;

• Packaging and labeling waste products to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;

• Participating in spill response on customer’s site as needed;

• Operating forklifts;

• Inspecting drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance;

• Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles;

• Completing waste stream sampling and profiling.
