Job summary

Clean Harbors in Oregon is looking for entry-level Chemical Handlers to join our safety-conscious team. InSite Technicians perform waste pickups, chemical bulking, packaging and labeling, and support spill response at customer sites, with training provided to help you succeed.

This role starts with on-the-job training and offers benefits, company vehicles and equipment, and growth opportunities as you learn the chemistry and safety practices that keep our communities protected.

Qualifications

• Willingness to complete background check, drug test, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Making waste pickups at customer facilities.
• Conducting chemical bulking and consolidation.
• Packaging and labeling waste products.
• Supporting spill response on site as needed.
• Operating forklifts.
• Inspecting drums for integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Loading and unloading waste hauling vehicles safely.
• Completing waste stream sampling and profiling.

Responsibilities

InSiteTechnicians perform a wide range of tasks, including:

• Making waste pickups throughout a customer’s facility;
• Conducting chemical bulking and consolidation;
• Packaging and labeling waste products to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;
• Participating in spill response on customer’s site as needed;
• Operating forklifts;
• Inspecting drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance;
• Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles;
• Completing waste stream sampling and profiling.

Qualifications

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• High Schooldiploma or equivalent;
• Valid driver’slicense;
• Grade 4 Industrial Wastewater License preferred;
• Willingness to complete abackground check, drug test, and physical.
