Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an entry-level Chemical Handler to join our safety-conscious team. You’ll perform waste pickups, bulk/ consolidate chemicals, and help with labeling and packaging at customer sites.

You'll receive training and support to grow your career, with a path from hands-on work to leadership roles as you gain experience. Competitive wages and benefits align with full-time employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Grade 4 Industrial Wastewater License preferred.
• Willingness to complete a background check, drug test, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Make waste pickups at a customer facility.
• Bulk and consolidate chemicals.
• Package and label waste for efficiency and compliance.
• Participate in spill response at customer sites as needed.
• Operate forklifts.
• Inspect drums for integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles.
• Complete waste stream sampling and profiling.

Responsibilities

InSiteTechnicians perform a wide range of tasks, including:

• Making waste pickups throughout a customer’s facility;
• Conducting chemical bulking and consolidation;
• Packaging and labeling waste products to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;
• Participating in spill response on customer’s site as needed;
• Operating forklifts;
• Inspecting drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance;
• Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles;
• Completing waste stream sampling and profiling.
