Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking a Research Analyst based in Washington, D.C. or New York City to join the Corporate Positioning & Insights practice, supporting primary research engagements across quantitative and qualitative studies.

You will assist with survey fielding, data analysis and the preparation of drafts, while coordinating with senior team members to ensure accurate, timely deliverables. Travel to clients and offices is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional experience involving primary and market research.
• Familiar with quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies.
• Experience supporting survey projects with questionnaire development, fieldwork, data cleaning, and analysis; familiarity with Qualtrics or Forsta/Decipher preferred.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially PowerPoint; Excel for data organization.
• Detail-oriented with comfort using AI and emerging technologies.
• Willingness to travel to clients and FTI offices.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of primary research materials, including drafts of questionnaires and discussion guides.
• Assist in preparing survey specifications, quotas, banners, and tables; review outputs for accuracy.
• Support day-to-day execution of projects: fielding, vendor coordination, focus group logistics, timelines, and quality control.
• Develop drafts of project materials: PowerPoint presentations, toplines, data tables, and summaries.
• Review survey data, tabulations, and outputs for accuracy and consistency.
• Support focus groups and interviews including preparation, note-taking, analysis and findings.
• Assist senior members with project management across larger engagements; contribute to process improvements including AI methods.
