Job summary

Ethan Allen Global, Inc. is seeking a skilled upholsterer to assemble and upholster portions of fully upholstered furniture on site in North Carolina.

The role requires moving frames between conveyors, stapling foam and fabric, and finishing seams to achieve the desired appearance and fit. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years of experience, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds (100 with help) and read and follow instructions.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow directions (verbal and written)
• Basic math skills for counting, adding and subtracting
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance
• Hand-eye coordination required for precise assembly
• Must be organized and able to multi-task in a production environment
• Overtime and weekend work may be required according to business needs

Responsibilities

• Move frames from conveyor to upholstery lift using a transfer cart
• Staple foam and fabric/leather to frames with pneumatic tools
• Trim excess material and smooth seams for a finished appearance
• Sit frames off the assembly line for repairs as needed
• Follow safety procedures; use protective equipment where required
• Work across different stations as production demands change
