Job summary

Jessica Charles in High Point, NC is seeking an Upholsterer to apply padding and fabric to furniture frames. You will use hand tools, power tools, and specialty upholstery tools to complete the inside of pieces and ensure a smooth finish.

The role requires reading production tickets, following safety procedures, and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed. Prior upholstery experience is a plus, with a full-time daytime schedule in a production environment.

Qualifications

This position is responsible for applying upholstery materials to furniture frames using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and special upholstery tools.

Essential Duties

• Use various tools to apply padding and upholstery fabric to a wood frame, completing the inside of an upholstered piece of furniture
• Build pieces so cover is smooth and fits the frame properly
• Must be able to read and follow production tickets
• Must be able to line, spot match, 4-way line and tuft
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Position Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous upholstery experience a plus
