Job summary

Ethan Allen in Kentucky is seeking an experienced upholstery assembler to perform a variety of operations to assemble and upholster portions of fully upholstered furniture. You will move frames from the conveyor to the upholstery lift, staple foam, cut filler material, stretch fabric, and trim for a precise finish.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, multi-tasking, and attention to detail. The position emphasizes working with different models, following directions, and maintaining quality

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience.
• Ability to read and follow directions (verbal and written).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds individually and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Move frames from conveyor to upholstery lift using transfer cart.
• Staple foam to frame with pneumatic stapler; wear safety glasses.
• Cut filler material and attach fabric/leather to frame; stretch as needed.
• Smooth seams with regulator for a crisp finish.
• Trim excess fabric around finished wood portions with box cutter.
• Occasionally lift frames off the conveyor for repairs.
