Hancock & Moore is seeking an upholsterer at Plant 1 in Taylorsville, NC. The role involves applying padding and upholstery fabric to furniture frames, using various hand and power tools, and ensuring a smooth fit on the frame.

The candidate will read production tickets, execute precise line and tufting tasks, and adhere to all safety policies. Prolonged standing and lifting up to 50 lbs. are expected in this production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in upholstery is a plus.
• Must be able to read and follow production tickets.

Responsibilities

# Inside UpholstererHancock and Moore Plant 1 - Taylorsville, NC 28681## Description**Summary Job Description**This position is responsible for applying upholstery materials to furniture frames using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and special upholstery tools.**Essential Duties*** Use various tools to apply padding and upholstery fabric to a wood frame, completing the inside of an upholstered piece of furniture* Build pieces so cover is smooth and fits the frame properly* Must be able to read and follow production tickets* Must be able to line, spot match, 4-way line and tuft* Must follow all safety policies and procedures* All other duties as assigned## Qualifications**Position Requirements*** High school diploma or GED preferred* Previous upholstery experience a plus**Physical Requirements**The physical demands and work environment expectations described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
