Job summary

RHF in Taylorsville, NC is seeking an upholsterer to apply padding and fabric to furniture frames using hand tools, power tools, and specialized upholstery tools.

You will read production tickets, build smooth coverings, and ensure correct fit and tufting, while following safety policies; HS diploma or GED and prior upholstery experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Apply padding and upholstery fabric to wood frames using hand and power tools to complete the inside of an upholstered piece.
• Build pieces so cover is smooth and fits the frame properly.
• Read and follow production tickets to ensure correct materials and patterns.
• Line, spot match, 4‑way line and tuft per specifications.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

This position is responsible for applying upholstery materials to furniture frames using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and special upholstery tools.

Essential Duties

• Use various tools to apply padding and upholstery fabric to a wood frame, completing the inside of an upholstered piece of furniture
• Build pieces so cover is smooth and fits the frame properly
• Must be able to read and follow production tickets
• Must be able to line, spot match, 4‑way line and tuft
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous upholstery experience a plus
