Job summary

SunSource is seeking an energetic Inside Sales professional to support our customers and outside sales managers in Kalamazoo, MI. You will handle inquiries, help customers locate components, and generate quotes while ensuring 100% order accuracy in our ERP system.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in customer service or inside sales within industrial distribution, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Trend ERP.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service or inside sales experience in industrial distribution or adjacent industry
• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and email
• Experience with Trend ERP is a plus
• Strong analytical, mathematical and mechanical aptitude; clear verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding service to customers and support to our outside sales managers
• Answering phone calls and responding to customer inquiries about products or systems
• Responding promptly to inquiries via phone, email, and customer portals
• Assisting customers in finding components using catalogs and internal resources
• Preparing detailed product quotations with price, discount, and shipping calculations
• Entering orders in the ERP system with high accuracy
• Expediting orders to meet delivery dates
• Collaborating with service technicians and manufacturers reps to resolve issues
• Assisting outside sales with quotes, expediting, and visits
• Following up on quotes and outbound calls to support the sales team
• Continuously developing sales and technical skills to upsell
